Variety with remarkable vigor. Equipped with a medium-sized pyramidal winged cluster, usually sparse. The berry is small with a thick, consistent blue-black skin. Ancellotta gives a slightly acid wine, rich in color, with a fruity flavor and hints of marasca cherry.
